The Fleet
Ally Cat, our Flag Ship RIB ,was designed by Lough Ree Powerboat School and Hodson Bay Watersports in conjunction with Lencraft Boats in Dungarvan as a Purpose built craft for training High Speed Rescue Boat Crews .

She is fitted with Military Spec Hull and Tubes , a state of the art 130 Hp 4 Stroke  Engine , Long Range Tanks , Satellite Navigation ( GPS ) with Electronic Colour Charts , Depth Sounder / Bottom Analyser , LCD Radar and Reflecto and DSC / GMDSS Marine VHF as well as a host of other Safety and Navigation aids. Top speed is in excess of 30 Knots and the handling is just superb . We also operate several other RIBs

Classy Cat is a Freeman 27 foot Cabin Cruiser which we use to teach our Inland Waterways Helmsman Courses.Freeman are a Classic British Cruiser and our boat is a floating

class room hence our choice of the name Classy Cat, which follows our tradition of having a cat included in all of our boat names.

She is a 4 berth boat with an open sheltered cockpit making her suitable for teaching in most acceptable weather conditions.

Classy Cat is powered by a Perkins 4108 50 hp inboard diesel engine giving her a cruising speed of 5 knots. She is equipped with the normal features associated with a shannon cruiser such as domestic charging system, gas powered galley, hot water system and central heating. This means that clients can learn all about the systems they are likely to met when they buy their own first boat.
